Training Institute
The Training Institute offers a broad range of trainings for youth, professionals, schools, youth-serving organizations and communities aimed at promoting the healthy development of youth and inspiring positive community change. Seminar topics include: Change of Heart: Creating a More Caring School Environment; Developmental Assets; Youth & Adult Partnerships; and Youth on Board.
Our staff and network of trainers are nationally certified in a wide range of youth development curricula and provide insight based on years of field experience. Kentucky Child Now is also nationally recognized by the National Training Institute for Community Youth Work as a Best (Building Exemplary Systems for Training Youth Workers) Site.

KY Youth Development Partnership
The Kentucky Youth Development Partnership (KYDP), formed in 2001, is a federally funded initiative of Kentucky Child Now and UK, CES, 4-H/Youth Development. It is a public/private coalition of more than twenty-five state and local youth-serving organizations who are dedicated to helping young people reach their full potential.
The Partnership aims to foster collaboration of youth services and to promote positive youth development by connecting the diverse youth development sectors (Workforce, Health, Juvenile Justice, Education, Social Services, Government, Non-profit) and communities to increase capacity, better utilize existing resources and increase awareness of the role of positive youth development and its tenants.

KY Youth Development Coordinating Council
As a result of Senate Joint Resolution 184, unanimously passed in the 2006 General Assembly, the Kentucky Youth Development Coordinating Council was created to improve efficiency and effectiveness of youth services in Kentucky. By passing the resolution, Kentucky has taken the lead among the states in youth policy to ensure that young people are fully engaged and fully prepared for adulthood.
