Offerings and trainings provided by the Training Institute may be customized to meet individual needs. The trainings may also be added or expanded to meet the requirements of the groups served.
Our Training Institute is unique in that we combine the latest research, best practices and proven curricula in the field of youth development with the broad knowledge, insight and hands-on experience of a talented team of trainers and advisors.
Our trainings focus on building knowledge, awareness and skill for both youth and adults. We utilize best practices in instructional design, and employ a balance of instructional and experiential teaching methods to ensure the activities, trainings and workshops we do are effective, engaging and interactive.
More importantly, we listen to the unique needs and requirements of those we serve in order to deliver customized assistance that helps produce sustainable results. This includes providing consulting work to help organizations assess needs and capabilities, and then design approaches, processes, practices, policies and action plans that help drive effective, long-term change.
Kentucky Child Now is widely recognized for its expertise in Kentucky and the nation in the field of youth development. Our staff and trainers have over 250 years of combined experience working with communities and youth serving organizations across the state to build capacity and implement a youth development focused approach to youth programs.
Through our talented cadre of experienced and certified trainers, we have shared the youth development approach to thousands of adults who work with young people, representing hundreds of community based and state agencies working in almost every county of the state.
We also utilize youth trainers, ages 13-24, to incorporate a youth perspective into many of our trainings, as well as to model effective youth-adult partnership and provide opportunities to serve.
